With clubs everywhere

And bars too

With lots of artists

Doing what they do

Spray caners

At their best

Chalk artists

Be my guest

Painters going wild

And photographers too

Even a pebble artist

How do you do

With many poets

Rhyming words for free

And many buskers

It's the place to be

With lots going on

In a really big way

Like the naked bike rally

Oh I say I say

Then theres gay pride

Oh what an event

Where the world comes together

That money well spent

Then theres the fringe arts festival

Held every year

With many open houses

Starting new careers

Then theres the MODs and Rockers

And the bike show

Then theres the mini rally

And the camper vans you know

Then there is the Lanes

Full of jewellery galore

And many art galleries

And a lot more

With a big massive pier

With many rides too

Oh what a place

That should be visited by you

With films like Quadrophenia

And Brighton Rock too

Created in this place

For everyone to view

Along with many artists

Who've made the big time

Like Fat Boy Slim

And Rizzle Kicks mind

So look this place up

The city by the sea

Simply known as Brighton

The only place to be



I was down and out

I was down and out

And on the road

I didn't know what to do

I was feeling life

The way it was

I was feeling it oh so true

I was understanding

All the madness

I was understanding the pain

I was doing

What I had to do

It was driving me in sane

I was going here

And going there

Not knowing what I'd become

Except a man

Who lost it all

And ended up a bum

Then all of a sudden

It happened to me

Way out of the blue

I met a women

Who liked me

And the things I had to do

To stay alive

In a hard world

Where pain and suffering is

Through the things

You may never see

And I will never miss

So I was lucky

To get a break

To see my future unfold

Yet many never

Get that chance

As thet die young not old

With all the power

Of their glory

Never ever said

Because it's to late

For them now

Because they are dead

Respect to them

For living this way

And doing what they do

For life is hard

For all of us

So I hope it don't happen to you.
