DIPSOMANIA

Do you know what this is?

In plain English without taking the piss.

Please tell me, what I can see,

So I can understand now this for free.

Oh I see now, is that right,

Mankind’s fuel for a fight.

Alcoholism is what it means,

Now that is something that’s in my dreams.

Including a bottle, including a glass,

Another drink please, I beg, I ask.

Taking a strole

Taking a stroll
Down by the sea
Hand in hand
You and me

Looking at the birds
Flying free
Past the pier
Don't you agree

Sitting on a groyne
With can in hand
Looking at the sea
So nice and calm

Wondering why
I'm in this place
In the middle of the day
Looking to outer space

Thinking of obstacles
That will get in the way
Of you and me
This special day

For your my friend
So close to my heart
That enjoys life
Mysterious and dark

Yet I'm the one
Who's simply lost
In life it's self
At no extra cost

Even though
I simply know
I'm a talented person
In perfect flow

Yet when I'm down
I'm a clown
Who wants to simply
Drown drown drown

As pressures arise
Through what i do
Well this is reality
So simple but true

Here's a link everyone can visit and get inspired by those who strayed in life became addicts and are now on the road to recovery through one young mans dream. I have contributed to this book also with some of my own poetry. I will admit I am an ex addict and also found the same path in life.

Some of the poems on this site is not suitable for small children.

I have written and contributed 4 poems to this book and belief it is inspirational that people can pull themselves out of the gutters of life and me absolutly amazing.

PLEASE SUPPORT THE ARTISTS IN THIS BOOK AND SHOW THEM THEY ARE WORTH MORE IN LIFE THAN LIFE ITS SELF.

ALL NET PROFFITS OF THIS BOOK GO TO THOSE WHO CONTRIBUTED

There was a young drunk on the street

There was a young drunk on the street
Who really had smelly feet
They where that bad
Even the rats where glad
He went to the shop for his treat

Whats Up

Whats up
Whats sound
Bombs going off
People found
Heads missing
Tears in eyes
Troubles come
There's no lies
Picking up rubble
That's not cool
Missing arms
Who's the fool
Flash backs happening
Grab control
Oh dear no
Its a fish bowl
Drinking heavily
Washing it away
Its not happening
Pictures stay
Mates gone
Family's pain
No understanding
That's life's game
Trying to cope
No way back
Lost control
On a one way track
No not good
Wash it away
Drink even more
Live for today
Hurt someone
Not yourself
Need another drink
From top shelf
Alcohol poisoning
Oh so what
Life is real
And can't be taught
Given a chance
You'll break free
Yet those pictures
Still hunt me
Giving many problems
You don't understand
For a civilian
Upon this land

There was a young woman so fine

There was a young woman so fine
Who liked to drink bottles of wine
No matter the day
She'd do it anyway
And then she would want to drink mine

Living The Life Of A Poet

Living the life of a poet
And a sculptor too
Out on the open road
Can be very hard to do

Even though you have words
And your materials are free
It is really hard to survive
Especially down by the sea

With really heavy winds
The snow and the rain
Then there's those people
Who try to drive you in sane

By setting you on fire
Or beat you up as well
For they want what you got
In words that they can sell

Yet you got to survive
No matter the obstacles ahead
Even though you know
Your better of dead

Some will hit you with hammers
Or stab you in the heart
This is real street life
That happens after dark

Yet if you have no money
What are you going to do
Would you break the law
To survive would you

While trying to live the dream
So you can get of the street
To carry on your art
Which comes out so unique

Or would you lay down
And drink yourself to death
Or even take drugs
To your very last breath

Or would you simply squat
And hope for the best
Even though you got no money
Well this is life's real test

Oh Dear No

Oh dear no
Hear we go
Waking up
In Perfect flow
Singing away
Day by day
Even though
I can’t I say
Making noise
Playing with toys
I’m an adult
Who enjoys
Life at best
The perfect guest
One big child
In a colourful vest
But do I care
If people stare
Or if i’m going bald
And loosing my hair
No not at all
With the wonder wall
For I am me
No Barbie Doll
Who enjoys life
Through sacrifice
With a gentle
Throw of the dice
Win or lose
It’s what I choose
Because life’s a gamble
And full of booze
So here we go
In perfect flow
Living real life
I hope you know

Give me beer for my breakfast

Give me beer for my breakfast
Keep me happy
Give me beer for my tea I say
Give me something even stronger
If you want too
So I don't see the end of the day

Give me vodka for my breakfast
Keep me slurring
Give me vodka for my tea I say
Give me something even stronger
If you want too
So I don't see the end of the day

Give me a woman for my breakfast
Keep me happy
Give me a woman for my tea I say
Give me something even stronger
If you want too
But remember I'm not gay

Give me pleasure for my breakfast
Keep me happy
Give me pleasure for my tea I say
Give me pleasure oh please honey
Give me pleasure every minute of the day

Brandy brandy

Brandy, brandy makes you randy
Iasn't that right now my dear Mandy
Because its wicked is the Brandy
Its a lot better than any shandy
Working its dream
If you know what I mean
Making poor Mandy
Simply scream
With absolute pleasure
To simply treasure
In a moment
No one can measure

Because brandy, brandy makes you randy
Isn't that right now my dear Mandy
Because its wicked is the brandy
Its so great it is dandy
Making her squirm
\like a germ
All over my body
And now its my turn
To give her more
Total hardcore
Its round 2
Down on the floor

With brandy, brandy making us randy
Isn't that right now my dear Mandy
Because it is wicked is the brandy
Its so great it is dandy
Ripping of clothes
Touching your toes
Kissing your lips
Kissing your nose
Caressing your skin
Oh what a sin
Now let the true passion
Surely begin

With brandy, brandy making us randy
Isn't that right now my dear Mandy
Because it is wicked is the brandy
Its so great it is dandy
Building up sweat
With no regret
Making sure
We wont forget
Turning over
Like a four leaf clover
Going through the positions
Like a range rover

Because brandy, brandy making us randy
Isn't that right now my dear Mandy
Because it is wicked is the brandy
Its so great it is dandy
Going up and down
And all around
On the sofa
And on the ground
Making her scream
Which is obseen
With the perfect climax
In my dream

Sitting in a pub

Sitting in a pub, with a pint in my hand,
Chatting chit chat, you all understand.
Getting a bit pissed and slurring my words,
"What's that you said"? "You know, you heard".

"Don't curse at me, you stupid fool",
Crash bang wallop, goes the stool.
"That's it now, its time to leave",
Escorted by bouncers, oh yes believe.

What Is An Addiction

What is an addiction, what can it be,
An addiction is something that satisfies thee.
It could be coffee, tea or even a drink,
Cigarettes are another with the same link.

Then you have cannabis, heroin and crack,
Along with weed as a matter of fact.
Buying and selling could be classified the same,
Along with gambling with no one to blame.

So as you can see addictions a lot,
Of different things that most people have got.
With different circumstances many have found,
Addiction has cost them and brought them right down.

Into the gutters of a shameful life,
Loosing everything children and wife.
Trying to kick it to start again,
But will they do it lets hope my friend.

The Homeless Man

It was one of those days,
That happened so fast,
When a row broke out,
As minutes they passed.

Then all of a sudden,
He was facing the street,
A life of hell,
This I repeat.

With nothing to do,
Except hit the bottle,
As his life fell to pieces,
Going full throttle.

With nowhere to sleep,
And very little money,
What could he do?
For this wasn't funny.

Then along came a friend,
To take away the pain,
Along with the cold,
That was numbing his brain.

Making life easier,
To live this way,
Then all of a sudden,
He had a habit I say.

Then getting the courage,
To beg on the street,
For money, for drugs,
And hot food to eat.

Thinking oh no,
What have I done?
I'm better than this,
For I’m not a bum.

But what could he do,
He had no one to blame,
Except for himself,
Which is a shame.

Going cold turkey,
With aches and pains,
It was time to get clean,
And tighten the reigns.

But was it the answer,
No not at all,
For he hadn't a roof,
Or a bed I recall.

Waiting for help,
From a C.A.T. team,
To give him a place,
If you know what I mean.

So he could flourish,
And rise to the top,
With the help from some people,
So everything could stop.

Which was too late,
For he seemed to be lost,
In a world of chaos,
Which definitely did cost.

Until that day came,
When the homeless man died,
The poor man's wife,
Had no father for child.

So remember this folks,
For some people it’s true,
Because drugs is a killer,
And alcohol too.

The Alcohols Curse

It was a beautiful day you see,
With sunshine all around,
When you went out with me,
To take a walk round town.

To do the things we normally do,
Oh just you and I,
While having a meal oh so true,
And watching passers by.

With all the notions in our mind,
As we talked for hours,
About a lot of crazy things,
And then I bought you flowers.

Then we went back to your place,
To do now you know what,
But you said no get out of my face,
And hurt me a hell of a lot.

So of I wondered on my own,
Down that slippery road,
And hit the bottle all alone,
At my special abode.

While getting drunk with all my sorrow,
I didn't know what to do,
Except just drink until tomorrow,
And hope for something new.

But did you come oh back to me,
Oh no oh no, no way,
And now I am an alcoholic,
That drinks now everyday.

Temptation

Problems come and problems go,
No matter what we do,
In a life that we all know,
Through drink and drugs so true.

But when we stop and look behind,
We see what we have done,
So this is why we try to find,
Some help to overcome.

To show us something we can keep,
Deep within our souls,
That will make us go to sleep,
So we can achieve our goals.

Without the craving of a drink,
Or even drugs as well,
Until we find that missing link,
So we don't go to hell.

This is why we come here,
To talk about ourselves,
So we don't have another beer,
Or spirits from the shelves.

Because temptation can be great,
And lead us back to sin,
While putting us all in a state,
So evil it can win.

Yet sometimes we all need that fix,
So we can create even more,
As long as you can control the mix,
And not fall flat on the floor.

Then you have overcome your fear,
Yet temptation is always there,
So has anyone got another beer,
And a really soft armchair.

Each day

Each day comes, each day goes,
Like the wind, when it blows.
Sometimes rough, sometimes smooth,
Some times helped with lots of booze.
Ruining our life’s, ruining our souls,
Carrying us on, to achieve our goals.
Along with addictions of different kinds,
That keeps us going, controlling our minds.

Drink and drugs,

Drink and drugs,
Insects and bugs,
What a mad life,
As we become thugs.

Tents and squats,
Caravans and yachts,
Selling of everything,
That we once bought.

Madness and pain,
Needles in veins,
This is street life,
So simple and plain.

All night and day,
We live this way,
But can we stop,
Well maybe someday.
